Prof. Stefan Haas

Stefan Haas is Professor for Theory and Methodology of History and currently Director of the Center for Theory and Methodology for the study of Culture. He is currently working on the question how theoretical knowledge changes by the ongoing globalization of the academic and non-academic world. A special focus lies on the question how innovations are shaped or even driven by transregional exchange and migration. His empirical research areas are cultural and political history, media and film studies, history of knowledge and the history of everyday life in a transregional and global perspective.
